  • What is a Full Color Label?
    We have adhesive labels for a low cost
    alternative for full color disc printing. Our full color labels are printed on a Konica 2300 color laser printer.

  • What is Monochrome On-Disc Printing?
    Single color on disc print, on a silver disc?
    This is our lowest price, on-disc printing option. Text & line art & logos look best for this type of printing. If you have a lot of black coverage or a black & white photo, check out our Photographic Black & White on-disc option. This type of printing uses the Rimage Prisim printing technology.
  • What is Photographic Black & White 0n-Disc Printing?
    Single color on disc print, on a white disc. Great for low cost Black & White photographic art printed directly on-disc. This printing style uses the Rimage Everest printing system
  • What is Photographic Full Color 0n-Disc Printing?
    Full color on disc print, on a white disc. This is our best disc printing for CD-R. This printing style uses the Rimage Everest printing system You can also print all the way to the center hub of the disc. This printing style uses the Rimage Everest printing system technology. The output is a razor sharp image, with a laquer finish, giving your disc that retail ready look. We have even had clients ask if the discs are dry!!
  • What is a Silk Screened disc print?
    On cd replication projects, we use an ink on silk screen process. This type of disc printing is superior.
  • What is a slimline case?
    An 1/8" thick case, comes in black or clear. Great for demos.
     
  • What is a full size jewel case?
    A standard sized CD box. Your choice of black, white, or clear trays.

  • What is an Amaray box?
    The standard DVD case. Comp-
    lete the look with a DVD wrap.
  • What is a 2X Cover?
    One sheet, no fold

  • What is a 4X Cover?
    One sheet, one fold.
  • What is a 6X Cover?
    One sheet, two folds.
  • What is an amaray outer wrap?
    An insert that wraps around the amaray box.
  • What is a Tray Card?
    This piece of artwork goes in the back of
    a full sized cd jewelcase.

 
  • What is an Enhanced CD?
    An enhanced CD is an audio cd that contains data. You can listen to this CD in any standard CD player as well as put it in your computer & see data, a video for example.

  • What is the difference between CD replication and CD duplication?
    CD-R duplication is the process that allows consumers to burn discs from their home computer. Affordable Sound uses high-grade media and professional level burners to maximize quality and insure against playability issues. CD replication requires the creation of a glass master and injection molding machines to factory press each CD. Click here for a more detailed explanation.

    We are committed to working with our clients to meet the needs of their creative vision. Musicians go wild with specialized materials, CD inclusions like stickers and show schedules or even enhanced discs with videos or website links. We will make it happen. Data customers bring us your raw materials and let us assemble and shrink wrap your off the shelf software or bring us your meeting materials and let us assemble and prepare them all.
  • How quickly can you get my project done?
    Our policy is to provide every customer with maximum flexibility. Most duplication orders are done within 48 hours and any order can be expedited for a fee. For a detailed look at our turn around policy please visit our order page.
  • What kind of quality can I expect?
    We use industry standard materials and printing techniques, and back all of our products with a manufacturing guarantee. Our Quality Control processes are thorough, even by industry standards. That being said, in the unlikely event that a client finds defect in any of our CDs or CD-Rs, we will quickly move to correct and replace the product. We are in a constant state of monitoring the CD and CD-R markets in anticipation of technological improvements in processes, and rest assured we will take every step necessary to provide our clientele with the best and most options for your CD and CD-R products.
  • What type of printing do you use?
    All paper inserts, tray cards, labels and posters are printed with a high resolution CMYK laser printer. Full color or monochrome direct-on-disc printing is available on 3-inch mini disc, e-cards, white or silver media. All replication orders are silk-screen printed on disc and paper elements are printed on a full color offset press.
  • What are your specifications for audio and artwork?
    A\S graphic artists will always work with you to convert source material into a great looking visual package for your CD, however, if you are interested in preparing files at home we have provided all the details necessary to prepare your materials.
  • What are your payment policies?
